.

I had the chance to interrogate
A coo coo in its nest,
“Why embrace me with one wing
And hold me to your chest?

What attraction comes to mind
When I am at my best?
Do you believe me worthy
To be straddled to this test?”

“If you don’t know,” he then replied,
“Perhaps you should request
A hearing of the highest kind
In case you haven’t guessed.”

“And when you do you’ll know the way
When people cut and jest,
I’ll push you with the other wing
And you will do the rest.”
